Hi! My name is Hung Ta. I am a 21 years old landscape and adventure photographer based out of a little town called Boone, NC. Originally from Vietnam, I had spent the majority of my life living in big cities such as Hanoi and Saigon. I never knew what life was like outside of the concrete jungle until I started backpacking around Southeast Asia and then finally, nine years ago, my family and I decided to move to the United States.
I’ve lived in Boone for the last nine years since my move. I will never forget how shocked I was by the number of trees that grow here. We had parks back in the cities but they were nothing compared to the lush green mountains of Western North Carolina. I knew that I had to somehow show my extended family in Vietnam how beautiful my home was. That’s why I picked up a camera about 2 years ago and pressured myself to learn everything about this art form. Back then, I would have never guessed how important photography would be to my life now. I’ve met awesome new friends, received amazing opportunities and seen some incredible landscapes. Like a wise man once said, “”You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take’- Wayne Gretzky” - Michael Scott
